The Sutherland Residence

Oakwood Construction will be breaking ground on this addition to a residence in Old Mt. Pleasant any day now. The 1950s concrete block house was renovated by notable designer Andrew Gould and it is an exciting opportunity for us to expand upon his work. By adding an "L" shaped structure to the rear of the house, we are able to create a courtyard framed by the Master Bedroom Suite and a Dining Room. The materials and massing have been heavily informed by the existing house but we have found opportunities to bring our own sensibilities to play in the details and planning.
