David Thompson Studio collaborated with Chef Michael Toscano to provide consultation on the transition of his Mannahttan Flagship from Minetta Lane to Midtown. Located adjacent to the lobby, within the historic Iroquois Hotel, the scope of improvements included both the bar room and dining room. Each space offers a distinctive take on a modern design language with echos of the Art Deco era of the hotel. Lighting, art and furniture were refreshed in the bar room. The dining room is dominated by a monumental skylight. To accentuate this architectural element, the room was drenched in a deep red paint also highlighting the art. The furniture is organized around a central service table and charcuterie slicer. The room has been softened with new upholstery and drapery.
