Restaurant Design, Greenville, SC. COLLABORATORS: Proficient Engineering, Inc., Mobile Fixtures, Performance Acoustics, Sign Connection, Clayton Construction. Photographs by Andrew Thomas Lee
O-Ku is a sushi restaurant and bar owned by The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Located at the urban heart of Greenville, the restaurant is fronted on one side by a prominent civic and commercial street and on the other by a public green space. The dining room is anchored by a central banquette grouping. The sushi bar and bar animate the room with activity. Custom mirrors, shou sugi ban shingles and a bespoke neon sign adorn the walls while the ceiling is focused toward an installation of manzanita branches laced with lighting.
